Resolution Cove (49˚36'00" 126˚31'00" E side of Clerke Peninsula, S end of Bligh I, entrance to Nootka Sd, W side of Vancouver I). HMS Resolution, the larger of Capt James Cook’s two expedition vessels, was repaired here in 1778 during the explorer’s month-long stay on the BC coast. Cook named the site Ship Cove.
