Restoration Bay (52˚07'00" 127˚38'00" E side of Burke Channel, SW of Kwatna Inlet, E of Bella Bella). Named by Capt George Vancouver after he and his crew celebrated May 29, 1793—Restoration Day—at this location. This was the date in 1660 that King Charles II entered London and was restored to the throne that his father, Charles I, had lost (along with his head) during the English Civil War.
