Richardson Cove

Richardson Cove (49˚27'00" 124˚16'00" S side of Lasqueti I, Str of Georgia). Thomas Richardson (1868–1937), a native of Scotland, came to BC and married Janet Agnes McNeil (1867–1958), also from Scotland, at Nanaimo in 1895. They lived on the S coast of Lasqueti in the late 1890s, and Tom worked as a shepherd for an early sheep-raising venture on the island. Nearby Graveyard Bay is named after the grave of their daughter Maggie, who died on Lasqueti in 1899, aged two. The Richardsons left...
