Robertson Banks


Robertson Banks (54˚07'00" 130˚05'00" Mouth of the Skeena R, E of De Horsey I and Smith I, SE of Prince Rupert). Named in 1909 after Andrew Stuart Robertson (1865–1940), from Que, an accountant and one of the early owners of the Claxton Cannery and sawmill, located in this area. He married Rosina Hawkins (1866–1947), also from Que, at Vancouver in 1892. Robertson sold the cannery complex to John Wallace of the Wallace Bros Packing Co in 1900.
