Rockfish Harbour

Rockfish Harbour (52˚53'00" 131˚48'00" S side of Louise I, off NE side of Moresby I, QCI). Named by George M Dawson of the Geological Survey of Canada in 1878. According to his journal of July 13, 1878, he “found the fishing very good and caught about three dozen good-sized ‘rock cod’ of at least four species. Very gaily coloured and ... first-rate eating.”
