Rogers Island


Rogers Island (52˚59'00" 132˚20'00" Off W side of Hibben I, Englefield Bay, NW side of Moresby I, QCI). William Rogers was a clerk and assistant paymaster aboard HMS Thetis, under Capt Augustus Kuper, and served on the Pacific Station, 1851–53. In 1855 he was appointed clerk to the secretary of Vice Adm Sir George Seymour, aboard HMS Victory at Portsmouth.
