Rosedale Rock (48˚18'00" 123˚32'00" N side of Juan de Fuca Str, SE of Race Rks, off S tip of Vancouver I). The British merchant vessel Rosedale ran aground on this hazard in 1862, en route from London, England, to Victoria. The ship floated free but was damaged and had to be beached at Ross Bay in Victoria. There the cargo was unloaded and the Rosedale, assisted by a number of local vessels, was towed to Esquimalt.
