Ruth Island

Ruth Island (49˚16'55" 124˚06'40" NE of Nanoose Hbr, SW of Winchelsea I, off E side of Vancouver I). Named in 1905 by Cdr John Parry of HMS Egeria in association with nearby Maude I, which commemorates former RN officer Eustace Maude, who later settled on Mayne I (see Maude Bay).
