Sandilands Island

Sandilands Island (53˚10'00" 132˚06'00" S of W end of Maude I, Skidegate Inlet, between Graham I and Moresby I, QCI). Evelyn Montague Sandilands (1863–1939), a former insurance agent, was appointed a gold commissioner and magistrate for the QCI in 1908, with his office at Jedway. He was transferred to Queen Charlotte City in 1912 and given the additional duties of government agent and superintendent of roads.
