Selby Cove

Selby Cove (48˚50'00" 123˚24'00" W side of Prevost I, E of Saltspring I, Gulf Is), Selby Point (48˚51'00" 123˚24'00" Just N of Selby Cove). Lt William Derenzy Donaldson Selby (d 1892) served on the Pacific Station, 1857–60, aboard HMS Ganges, the flagship of Rear Adm Robert Baynes. He was promoted to cdr in 1865 and capt, retired, in 1880. Named by Cdr John Parry of HMS Egeria while re-surveying Ganges Hbr in 1905.
