Sheldon Islet


Sheldon Islet (53˚41'00" 130˚25'00" NW of Baird Point, off NW McCauley I, Browning Entrance, S of Prince Rupert). Rev Alfred Harold C Sheldon (1853–88) was appointed the resident Anglican missionary at Port Essington in 1884. He had trained as a doctor in England, then came to BC and ministered for several years in the mining camps of the Omineca gold district.
