Springer Point


Springer Point (50˚18'00" 125˚13'00" S side of Sonora I, S of Owen Bay, Okisollo Channel, N of Campbell R). Benjamin Springer (1841–98), a native of Ont, was the sawmill manager at Moodyville, 1882–90. He had come to BC about 1863 for the Cariboo gold rush and first worked at the mill in 1872 as a tallyman, then as bookkeeper.
