Squamish (49˚45'00" 123˚08'00" Head of Howe Sd, N of Vancouver), Squamish Harbour (49˚39'00" 123˚14'00" Head of Howe Sd), Squamish River (49˚41'07" 123˚10'50" Flows S into the head of Howe Sd). The town and harbour are named after the river, which is in turn named for the First Nation people who have traditionally occupied this region and today call themselves the Skxwúmish.
