Steel Point


Steel Point (53˚49'00" 128˚42'00" E side of Amos Passage, E of Kitimat Arm, S of Kitimat). Named (but incorrectly spelled) by the hydrographic service in 1952 for prospector and miner James L Steele (b 1867), a native of PEI, who was active in the Kitimat region, 1900–1910.
