Stephenson Point

Stephenson Point (50˚08'00" 125˚22'00" E side of Menzies Bay, SW of Seymour Narrows, just NW of Campbell R). Rear Adm Henry Frederick Stephenson, CB (1842–1919), was cdr-in-chief on the Pacific Station, 1893–96. He entered the RN in 1855, served in the Crimean War as a junior officer, was promoted to lt in 1861 and commanded the gunboat Heron on Lk Ontario during the Fenian raids in 1866.
