Strombeck Bay


Strombeck Bay (55˚23'00" 129˚46'00" Just SE of Granby Peninsula, Observatory Inlet, S of Stewart). Named by the hydrographic service in 1970 after John Walford Strombeck (1858–1938), who staked his first mining claims in the Alice Arm area in 1908. John worked with his brother Charles Gustaf “Gus” Strombeck (1871–1955) in a partnership known as the Strombeck Bros.
