Switzer Cove

Switzer Cove (52˚44'00" 129˚17'00" In Borrowman Bay, NW side of Aristazabal I). John William Switzer (1858–1925), a native of NZ, came to BC in 1870 and married Margaret Catherine Wilson (1865–1937) at Victoria in 1886. In the 1901 census he is listed as the owner, with a partner named McClusky, of the Regent Saloon on Douglas St. Switzer is believed to have taken part in the Victoria old-timers’ reunion of 1924 (see Adams Bay).
