Third Beach (49˚18'00" 123˚09'00" Just N of Ferguson Point, W side of Stanley Park, Burrard Inlet, Vancouver). The name refers to the fact that as one moves N along the shoreline away from the W End, this is the third main beach encountered. The mostly rocky area was not developed until the late 1920s and ’30s, when dressing rooms and a concession stand were constructed, and extensive sand deposits were not added until 1962.
