Thurgate Rock

Thurgate Rock (52˚37'00" 129˚12'00" NW of Clifford Bay, W side of Aristazabal I). Little is known about Sapper Frederick Thurgate other than that he was a member of the Columbia detachment of Royal Engineers, which served in BC 1858–63.
