Thurston Harbour (52˚50'00" 131˚44'00" Talunkwan I, S side of Selwyn Inlet, off E side of Moresby I, QCI). Named in the early 1900s after the 24-m Nellie G Thurston, which was active in nearby waters, 1902–6, fishing for halibut. According to QCI historian Kathleen Dalzell, the 80-tonne vessel was built in Gloucester, Massachusetts, in 1883 and fished in the Atlantic until 1897, when it was chartered for a trip, via Cape Horn, to the Klondike gold rush.
