Tongass Passage (54˚45'00" 130˚39'00" W of Wales I, on BC-Alaska boundary, N entrance to Portland Canal, NW of Prince Rupert). The Tongass First Nation, whose members live in the southernmost part of the Alaska panhandle, are part of the larger Tlingit cultural and linguistic family. A number of features in Alaska are named after them.
