Trollope Point


Trollope Point (48˚23'00" 123˚42'00" E side of Sooke Hbr, SW of Billings Point, S end of Vancouver I). RN officer Henry Trollope (1815–79) served in BC waters in 1846–47 as 2nd lt of HMS Herald, under Capt Henry Kellett, who named this feature in 1846. He was from a naval family with a number of adms to its credit and had joined the service in 1828.
