Twiss Point (48˚54'00" 123˚20'00" SE side of Galiano I, Gulf Is). Crawford O Twiss (1885–1982) was employed as an Okanagan teamster when he married Alice Edith Gilmour at Vernon in 1913. The newlyweds moved to Galiano I and began their long association with the island by renting a cottage from Max Enke for $2.50 a month.
