Upper Harbour

Upper Harbour (48˚25'57" 123˚22'26" Between Johnson St bridge and Bay St bridge, Victoria Hbr, SE end of Vancouver I). Victoria Hbr (qv) consists of five sections: Inner Hbr, Upper Hbr, Selkirk Water, Gorge Waters and Portage Inlet. Upper Hbr, which appears on maps of the city as early as 1917, was adopted by the hydrographic service in 1946 as a well-established local name, in use by residents and shipping agencies.
