Urquhart Point


Urquhart Point (53˚34'00" 130˚11'00" S end of Dixon I, Principe Channel, between McCauley I and Banks I). Flying Officer Robert Alexander Urquhart, DFC, born at Moose Jaw but a resident of Vancouver, was a member of the famous RAF “Dambusters” squadron (No 617), which bombed and damaged several German dams on the nights of May 16 and 17, 1943.
