Ustas Point

Ustas Point (52˚42'50" 131˚34'30" N side of Lyell I, off E side of Moresby I, QCI). The point was named by the hydrographic service in 1957 after a supernatural being from the creation myths of the Haida First Nation. Ustas (also known as Nang Kilsdlaas or Nang Ttl Dlstlas) was the uncle of Raven and responsible for creating the first land that other supernatural creatures could settle on after the great flood.
