Verdia Island

Verdia Island (49˚39'00" 126˚34'00" One of the Spanish Pilot Group, SW of Bligh I, Nootka Sd, W side of Vancouver I). José Antonio Verdia was 2nd pilot of the San Carlos, under Gonzales López de Haro, in 1789, the year that López de Haro and Estéban Martínez occupied Nootka Sd and established a Spanish garrison there.
