Wainwright Basin (54˚15'00" 130˚17'00" S end of Kaien I, just S of Prince Rupert). Named in 1908 after William Wainwright (1840–1914), 2nd vice-president and chief lobbyist of the GTP. He was also 1st vice-president of the Grand Trunk Rwy of Canada, the GTP’s parent company.
