Warren Rocks

Warren Rocks (50˚04'00" 127˚13'00" S of Moketas I, Kyuquot Sd, NW side of Vancouver I). James Douglas Warren (1837–1917) was born in PEI and came to Victoria in 1858. He bought the small sloop Thornton and began trading on the BC coast with First Nation groups in the 1860s. In 1868, Warren and the Thornton were involved in a notorious shootout with First Nation attackers in Queen Charlotte Sd: 15 people died.
