Warrior Cove


Warrior Cove (51˚50'00" 127˚52'00" E side of Fitz Hugh Sd, S of Kiwash Cove, SE of Bella Bella). Named in 1946 after HMCS Warrior, Canada’s first aircraft carrier, which sailed that year from England to Halifax. The 212-m, 16,600-tonne ship was built at Belfast, N Ireland, without heaters, for use in the Indian Ocean in WWII, and was originally to be called HMS Brave.
