Warspite Rock


Warspite Rock (50˚05'00" 125˚18'00" Discovery Passage, E of Middle Point, just N of Campbell R). In proud hydrographic tradition, this hazard was named after the ship that first struck it—in this case HMS Warspite, a 96-m, 7,620-tonne armoured cruiser that served as flagship at Esquimalt in 1890–93 and 1899–1902.
