Watson Rock (53˚55'00" 130˚10'00" Off W side of Gibson I, N end of Grenville Channel, S of Prince Rupert). Christopher Robert Watson was assistant paymaster aboard HMS Malacca on the Pacific Station in 1866–67, under Capt Radulphus Oldfield. He was promoted to paymaster in 1877 and reached the rank of fleet paymaster, retired, in 1889. Named by Lt Daniel Pender of the hired vessel Beaver in 1867.
