Weir Beach


Weir Beach (48˚21'00" 123˚32'00" On Parker Bay, S of Parry Bay, near S tip of Vancouver I), Weir Point (48˚20'00" 123˚33'00" N side of Pedder Bay, S end of Vancouver I). Robert Weir (1809–94), hired by HBC bailiff Kenneth McKenzie as head stockman or “land steward” on the Craigflower Farm, came to Vancouver I in 1853 in the HBC supply ship Norman Morison.
