Welde Rock


Welde Rock (50˚53'00" 126˚56'00" Entrance to Drury Inlet, N side of Queen Charlotte Str, NE of Port McNeill). Named by the hydrographic service in 1958 after Donald Welde, who had recently drowned while trying to run nearby Roaringhole Rapids in a speedboat. The rock is noted for its marine life and is a popular dive site.
