Williams Islet (53˚14'00" 129˚19'00" Entrance to Crane Bay, W side of Gil I, Lewis Passage, N of Caamaño Sd). Wing Cdr Edwin Mountford “Ted” Williams, AFC, from Victoria, was killed in action on Jan 28, 1945, aged 28. He was born in Hong Kong and educated at Brentwood College near Victoria and the Royal Military College in Kingston.
