Willis Passage


Willis Passage (52˚42'00" 129˚27'00" NW of Moore Is, W of N end of Aristazabal I, Hecate Str). Named in 1926 after Walter King Willis (1891–1962), who was at that time a junior hydrographer on the Pacific coast for the Canadian Hydrographic Service. He was born at St John, NB, and studied engineering at the Univ of NB, joining the CHS in 1913.
