Woodlands

Woodlands (49˚20'00" 122˚55'00" W side of Indian Arm, NE of Burrard Inlet and Vancouver). This summer cottage community was probably named after Hugh Myddleton Wood (1849–1937), a minister in the Catholic Apostolic Church and former farmer who immigrated to Ont from England in 1870. He married Louisa Elizabeth Brisley (1852–1937). The Woods were the original owners of the waterfront at this location.
