Young Bay

Young Bay (49˚25'41" 126˚13'27" E side of Sydney Inlet, NW of Clayoquot Sd, W side of Vancouver I). Robert Orr Bruce Young (1907–85) was born in Ont, raised in Alberta and received a civil engineering degree from UBC in 1928. He joined the Canadian Hydrographic Service the following year as an assistant hydrographer on the survey vessel Lillooet, and he served in that vessel and in the William J Stewart until 1938.
