AQUACULTURE, FIN FISH, refers to the cultivation of fin fish in a controlled environment, such as tanks, ponds or net cages. Commonly called fish farming, it is carried on in BC by both the public and private sectors and is limited almost exclusively to salmonids and TROUT.
