BEAVERDELL, pop 206, is a farming community (see AGRICULTURE) and former station on the KETTLE VALLEY RWY 35 km east of PENTICTON. The Highland Bell SILVER mine operated nearby on Wallace Mt from 1901 to 1991. The hotel, opened in 1904, has one of the longest continuously operated pubs in BC. Two neighbouring settlements, Beaverton and Rendell, merged and adopted the current name around 1905. Beaverdell hosts a High Water Days festival in early June.
