Bentley, Peter John Gerald

BENTLEY, Peter John Gerald, forestry executive (b 17 Mar 1930, Vienna, Austria; d 6 Sept 2021, Vancouver). He was chairman of Canfor Corp (see CANADIAN FOREST PRODUCTS), a company his father Poldi founded after immigrating to BC from Austria in 1938. He also served on the board of several major corporations and was a noted philanthropist. An avid sportsman, he was one of the people who won an NHL franchise for the VANCOUVER CANUCKS.
