Bliss Landing

BLISS LANDING in Turner Bay 30 km northwest of POWELL RIVER on Malaspina Peninsula, was established at the close of WWI. Steamships once stopped regularly at this small settlement; today a private marina operates here. Formerly known as Bishop Landing after an early settler, the landing is named after Joe Blissto, a pioneer handlogger.
