Blue River

BLUE RIVER, pop 278, on the N THOMPSON R 230 km north of KAMLOOPS, just outside WELLS GRAY PROVINCIAL PARK, is a LOGGING and TOURISM centre. A helicopter-SKIING operation in the CARIBOO and MONASHEE Mts attracts skiers from around the world. The community is named for the colour of the surrounding hills.
