BOSTOCK, Hewitt, rancher, journalist, politician (b 31 May 1864, Surrey, England; d 28 Apr 1930, Monte Creek). A graduate of Cambridge Univ, he was a lawyer in England but took up ranching near KAMLOOPS when he immigrated to BC in 1888. In 1894 he founded the PROVINCE as a weekly newspaper in VICTORIA.
