BRIND'AMOUR, Rod, hockey player (b 9 Aug 1970, Ottawa). He is one of the best HOCKEY players to come from VANCOUVER ISLAND and one of the most complete NHL players of the 1990s. He was brought west by his parents to PRINCE RUPERT and then to CAMPBELL RIVER where he first learned to play the game. At age 15 he travelled to Saskatchewan to attend Notre Dame College, notable for producing many NHL stars.
