BRODIE, Robert "Steve," relief-camp activist (b 8 June 1910, Falkirk, Scotland; d 6 Dec 1997, Victoria). He came to Canada as an orphan sponsored by the Red Cross in 1924. He lost his job as a farm labourer when the Depression hit and he ended up in one of the BC RELIEF CAMPS for unemployed men.
