BROOKS, Allan Cyril, artist, naturalist (b 15 Feb 1869, Uttar Pradesh, India; d 3 Jan 1946, Comox). Raised in England and on an Ontario farm after his family immigrated in 1881, he came to BC in 1887 when his family moved to a farm near CHILLIWACK. For the rest of his life, he divided his time between OKANAGAN LANDING and VANCOUVER ISLAND. Before WWI he roamed the province trapping and hunting.
