CBC VANCOUVER CHAMBER ORCHESTRA was the only regularly performing radio orchestra in N America until 2008 when the CBC announced it would no longer support the ensemble. Founded in 1938 by Ira DILWORTH, it was led by John AVISON for its first 42 years.
