CANADIAN HELICOPTERS LTD (Okanagan Helicopters Ltd) began in 1947 as Okanagan Air Services, founded in PENTICTON by 3 Royal Canadian Air Force veterans, pilots Carl AGAR and Barney Bent and engineer Alf STRINGER. The company provided aerial spraying from a Bell 47-B3 and the initial flight in Aug 1947 was the first commercial helicopter flight in BC.
