STRINGER, Alfred, aviation pioneer (b 26 July 1921, Lancer, SK; d 9 Mar 1997, Victoria). The son of Prairie homesteaders, he joined the Royal Canadian Air Force during WWII and served as engineering officer in the same Commonwealth Air Training Plan squadron as Carl AGAR.
